What is the difference in head thickness? |

Our standard* .093 head thickness is available in brass, steel, and
aluminum vents. This head thickness is ideal for flat surfaces and is
easy to keep clean. The .031*,
or shallow, head thickness is also exceptional
for flat surfaces and with the thinner head, will stay cleaner longer.
The .156 head thickness is perfect for jobs requiring contouring. The
thick head allows for shaping and designing after the vent has been
inserted in the core box. Vent cleaners are also available for purchase—tapered
and precision ground to .010”
